In traditional Feng Shui, we use the Ba Zhai : Eight Houses.

In traditional Feng Shui, we use the Ba Zhai. Ba Zhai means Eight Houses. Using our birth date, it is possible to determine which group we belong to: East or West. Depending on the group, we can identify our four favorable sectors and the four unfavorable sectors.

The 8 Sectors of Feng Shui :

To determine these eight sectors in traditional Feng Shui, we use the Ba Zhai. With Ba Zhai, we can divide a house, business, or office into nine equal sectors, with the center being the Celestial Heart, which is not counted as a sector. For those in the East group, the North, East, Southeast, and South sectors are favorable, each with different effects, while the other four sectors are unfavorable. The opposite is true for the West group. Naturally, the goal is to spend as much time as possible in these favorable sectors.

Direction in Feng Shui :

When it comes to direction, precision is essential. Directions like North, Northeast, East, Southeast, etc., are not sufficient. We divide the 360° of a compass into 15° segments, which are called mountains. For example, instead of just “South,” we have: South 1 (157.5° – 172.5°), South 2 (172.5° – 187.5°) and South 3 (187.5° – 202.5°). Each of these three directions carries a different type of energy. Based on our birth date, we orient a bed, desk, doors, and other key elements toward a favorable mountain. Doing this can significantly improve your life. It may temporarily disturb sleep for a few nights, but afterwards, you will fully benefit from the positive energies.
