Building a Feng Shui House

Building a Feng Shui House

Is FENG SHUI the construction of a house ?

The ideal Feng Shui home does not exist.

In Feng Shui, there are so many criteria to consider that it is impossible to construct a home and achieve only positive Feng Shui. What is possible, however, is to optimize the space where you live to make the most of the positive energy available.

The first and most important step is choosing the land.

The environment will determine the orientation of the house. The primary goal is to have a mountain at the back and a clear view in front, with a small, not-too-high mountain in the distance. The mountain at the back, called the turtle, represents the Yin side of the house and provides stability—family stability, health, and financial security. The clear view in front, with a small mountain far away, represents the Yang side and allows for Yin–Yang balance in the home as well as future opportunities. Depending on the environment, your front door may or may not face the entrance to your property. Which is more important: the door facing the gate, or the well-being of the occupants, their health, and prosperity? If possible, it is also ideal to have mountains on the right and left. The one on the left should be higher than the one on the right. If the right mountain is much higher than the left, the Yin side will dominate, meaning women will hold more influence in the house. Once the land is chosen, the front door must be properly placed. It should be positioned in a favorable sector for the people who will live in the home. In addition to placing it in a good sector, the door must also be properly oriented. Based on your birth date, we can determine your favorable sectors. The temporal aspect, or Flying Stars, must also be taken into account.

Where to Place the “Feng Shui” Bedroom ?

The bedroom should be located in one of your favorable sectors of the house, always based on your birth date and, of course, taking the temporal aspect (Flying Stars) into account. The orientation of the bed is very important. It must be positioned so that you can rest properly and maintain good health. Currently, I am working on two house construction projects in the south of France. The clients did not realize how complex it could be. Building a Feng Shui house is not simple. The most important thing is to discuss thoroughly and trust the person who will work with you. Whether the person is a Master, expert, or consultant, choose someone who practices traditional Feng Shui. Be careful: nowadays, many claim to be experts or Masters of traditional Feng Shui—but they are not. Verify their skills, training, and mentors. Good luck to anyone wanting to build a Feng Shui home—it may be challenging, but afterwards, it is pure enjoyment.
