Feng Shui and the Entrance

Feng Shui and the Entrance

In traditional Feng Shui, the entrance is a place of passage and openness to the home. It is through this point that energy enters first. Your front door should be located in a favorable sector for you, as it will bring beneficial energy into the house. The front door is truly the link between your private life and your outer, public life. The sector in which the front door is located will amplify the energy of that sector. If it is a good sector, positive effects will be enhanced; if it is a bad sector, unfortunately, negative effects will be amplified. This sector is related to your outer life, particularly your work. If this sector is negative, you may bring your work-related problems home with you. In addition, from a time-based Feng Shui perspective, the entrance should have a good facing star, both in its location and its direction. A favorable star will bring greater success. When entering the home, there should be an open and uncluttered space so that the energy can fully expand and then distribute throughout the rest of the house. This space is called the Ming Tang. If possible, having a Ming Tang in front of the entrance door as well would be ideal.
