Feng Shui and the kitchen

The kitchen is the place where we eat and where family discussions often take place. However, from the perspective of traditional Feng Shui, this is not entirely correct. The kitchen is primarily a place of preparation and, above all, transformation of our food—from raw to cooked. For the sake of convenience, we eat in the kitchen, but the dining room is the space that should ideally be used for meals. According to traditional Feng Shui, the kitchen is associated with food and therefore with health.

It is a crucial space in the home and should be located in a negative sector. When we cook, we transform food. Since the energy of the kitchen is negative, it is transformed and becomes beneficial within the food itself. From a Flying Stars perspective, there should be a good sitting star present. The sitting star is associated with health, and having a favorable health star in the kitchen can only bring positive energy for your well-being.

However, we should not eat in the kitchen, as this sector is negative, but rather in a dining room, which should be located in a positive sector. In summary, food should be prepared in a good sector, then moved to a negative sector where it is cooked and transformed, and finally eaten in a good sector.
