Looking for a Traditional Feng Shui Course ?

You can find many traditional Feng Shui courses. How can you be sure that your training is truly traditional?

THE FIRST THING TO KNOW IN TRADITIONAL FENG SHUI :

• The first thing to know in Traditional Feng Shui: Your traditional Feng Shui training should not talk about sectors such as career, fame, or children—if it does, it is not traditional.

• It should also not include information about colors or decoration; this is also not traditional.

• Generally, a course that focuses on the Form School, the compass, or garden Feng Shui does not truly understand traditional Feng Shui. The compass, called Luo Pan, is used all the time, whether outside or inside a house.

• You also should not find geobiology in the training. These are two completely different things. Geobiology is not Feng Shui.

THE SECOND THINGS TO KNOW IN TRADITIONAL FENG SHUI :

If your future training covers Ba Zhai, San He, and San Yuan in these terms, don’t hesitate—this training is truly traditional Feng Shui. You may also see terms like Xuan Kong Da Gua or Yang Gong Feng Shui… Ba Zhai deals with good and bad directions, as well as favorable and unfavorable sectors, based on the birth dates of the people occupying a living space (house, apartment, shop, business, etc.). You might see names like Sheng Qi, Liu Sha, Fu Wei, which are the names of sectors and/or directions. I remind you that sectors such as career, fame, children, etc., are not traditional. San Yuan, known as Flying Stars, addresses the temporal aspect of traditional Feng Shui. San He deals with the flows of the environment. People who describe the environment using celestial animals usually are not practicing traditional Feng Shui. Yang Gong Feng Shui, also called the Feng Shui of the Emperors, focuses solely on the environment. It allows the practitioner to read the influences of the distant environment.

HAVE A LOOK AT THE TEACHER’S TRAINING BACKGROUND :

You can also examine the teacher’s training background—where and with whom the instructor was trained. The title of Master is not so important, because nowadays some people self-proclaim as Masters without practicing traditional Feng Shui. Some schools or academies are very well-known in the field of traditional Feng Shui, but not all of them teach traditional methods. Names like Grand Master Yap Cheng Hai (passed away in June 2014), Liliane Too, Joseph Yu, Raymond Lo, Joey Yap… are very famous in this world, but not all of them teach traditional Feng Shui. Some teachers are less well-known but offer exceptional instruction, such as Yang Kim Voon , Li Qing Lin…
